This is a much needed distraction today as Jess is home sick.

I’ve an Uncle Ivan is a romping rhyming story with pace, chase and crazy characters:

Sam’s befuddles nephew Gus drives a double-decker bus

Michael has a fab niece Gab, who likes to blab in taxi cabs.

The illustrations are retrotastic – it looks like a book from the 1950’s.

Uncle Ivan and the other assorted relatives are fairly strange and they are all racing towards the same location – but what is it? All is revealed at the end when they head towards…the family circus!

At the end of the book is a press out paper craft van, Cooper (who thinks he’s super on a scooter) and Kate (who is on roller skates) to colour in and make. Always a bonus to have things like this in a book.

Great fun!
